I started Advanced Riskology for one extremely important reason – I want to help everyone I can to take smarter and more beneficial risks in their lives.
Twice a week I write articles chronicling the many adventures from business building to mountain climbing. From investing to dating. From skydiving to creating art. Life’s most important lessons are learned from the risks we take, but we only learn when we actually take them.
My theory is that if we stagnate, struggle, and eventually fail by playing it too safe, then we also learn, grow, and ultimately succeed by embracing risk in our lives.
Better living through uncertainty is the aim. In order to become who we are destined to be, we must submit ourselves to the unknown. Life is best lived at its margins. It is at these edges that a new way of being, a new way of living, becomes possible.
Advanced Riskology is not about finding the safest way to take a chance. This is not risk management. It’s risk appreciation. This site exists to say that there’s no way to know for sure that your crazy idea will work, and that’s exactly what makes it worth doing.
Who reads this stuff?
This site is for dreamers, believers, adventure seekers, independent thinkers, and anyone else willing to set aside preconceived notions about life and explore new possibilities to what’s safe and what’s dangerous. What’s good and what’s bad. Who’s right and who’s wrong.
This site is for anyone who believes that a fulfilled life is one never fully satisfied – anyone who refuses to accept what is and, instead, dreams of what could be.
This site is for anyone who believes that the world rewards those willing to risk today for a better tomorrow.
We are the artists, leaders, and entrepreneurs of today. More importantly, we’re the artists, leaders, and entrepreneurs of tomorrow and beyond.
